Default Loading rates - Vehicle industry

I'm hoping someone can help me.... I work for a labour hire company who sends heavy duty mechanics to mine sites in WA. We are based in WA.
The Director has decided that because he pays above award rates that he does not need to pay public holiday, casual or leave loading on employees pay rates.
The Vehicle Manufacturing, Repair, Services and Retail award 2010 refers to payment of these rates for all employees covered by this award.
Are we in the danger zone with this behaviour?

Depends on how above the award rates are currently being paid. If high enough so that the employees are not disadvantaged by not receiving all of the things mentioned, than you would be fine. If the employee is losing out at all, worry.

Remember to review this with each increase in the award as well so that any rate increases are not putting you into the danger zone.
