We have been advised our current even time roster, will be changed to a 4 week on 2 week off roster. The new roster comes with the same remuneration, but extra work requirements. Basically we are being advised we are required 12 hours per day, on a rolling 24 hour roster i.e an individual job takes approx 3 hours, and the jobs can be split upto 4 jobs within a 24 hour period. We are also to remain on Standby for the remaining 12 hours, of each day. This roster is for 28 days, and includes weekends, public holidays. On the new contract we are allowed 14 days leave, after a 28 days cycle subject to company training, travel on behalf of company business. The two weeks leave includes all entitlements for work on weekends, public holidays, annual leave etc. Thoughts please ?
