We have all experienced the buzz and delight of seeing our dream job advertised, of seeing the match of our skills and experience and of applying, only to be totally ignored in the recruitment process. Upset, confused and bewildered, we ask why so? But there is no feedback ever, be it from industry or corporate recruiters. No none at all, ever. And if you foolishly persist and phone the HR lady, you'll at best get the bad-tempered reply: "We employed the best candidate." Which is of course no feedback. The solution, at least for high-level managerial jobs, is to post the profile of the winning candidate. Edited, sanitized and with his or her permission. Every other competition has a known, knowable winner.
