I'm about to start a Diploma in OH&S and would like to know what my chances are of being employed upon completion.Do I need to put a career change on hold or is it likely that I might find a job in this field? I have 3 years exp. as HSR at a sheetmetal company.
Check out the Worksafe web site. I am sure there is a recruitment intake for safety inspectors. You have industry experience (Manufacturing), which is beneficial.
It's always hard to take that first step in a new career, and you may need to work hard at getting your first safety job. However, the safety job market is quite buoyant and opportunities will only increase in the forseeable future.
