I have recently relocated to Melbourne from Auckland, New Zealand. I currently hold a bachelors degree majoring in
HRM and have over 3 years experience in
HR.
I have been looking for a role for 5 weeks now and still have had no luck. I understand that it is a tight labour market therefore I am not being too selective when it comes to applying for
HR roles, I have even applied for lower level
HR roles but I still have not had any success.
I feel like I have done everything I possibly can to improve my chances of getting an
HR role.
My question to the panel is – am I significantly disadvantaged in regards to
HR employment opportunities because I have NZ
HR experience only?
I would also appreciate any advice and recommendations on things I could do to increase my chances of obtaining an
HR position.
