- Jess joined Sara Lee Australia as a HR and Training Coordinator after completing a B Bus (HRM & IR); where she was a Vice Chancellor's Leadership Scholarship Recipient.
Whilst enjoying the fine cakes and desserts at Sara Lee and making great friends, the business structure changed and Jess was offered a fantastic role at Vodafone Australia, located in Chatswood.
Keen to learn more about L&D/Org Dev in a large organisation, Jess thrived in the role of Culture and Capability coordinator which was a specialist team within the larger group; Brand and People (HR).
At Vodafone, Jess managed the Online Performance Management System for Australia (resident 'guru'), coordinated the 'Get Connected' (Induction Program), and worked on the Development Boards (Talent Management) process. She also managed to gain some experience in program design with a learning and development initiative designed for Admin/Personal Assistants across Australia.
However, a redundancy ensured that Jess then took up a place at BOC as an L&D Coach for a short period. Jess's main achievement here was the succesful launch of 'Accelerate Your Career'- a career management initiative aimed at empowering call centre staff to take control and really drive their learning, development and career progression.
Finally, Jess landed her current role at CSIRO and is really enjoying the challenges and rewards that each day brings. Working closely with managers in managing employee performance and recruitment campaigns, Jess has developed strong working relationships with her client base within the divison, and also her HR counterparts across Australia. She enjoys project work, and is working on many initiatives which aims to drive culture and performance in the division.
Jess has recently completed a M Ed (Adult Ed) UTS, with a distinction average and was awarded the AHRI 'HR Rising Star' Award for 2009. - My Location
