I have signed a 6 month fixed term contract with a 3 month probationary period, can i resign during my probationary period.

Short answer without seeing your contract, yes you can.

You need to be careful with fixed term contracts, because if they do not contain provisions for early termination then you may not be able to terminate the contract early, unless the employer breaches the contract.

However, as your contract includes a probationary period.then it presumably says how the contract may be terminated during the probationary period.
