The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is encouraging employers to continue requiring making Australian Workplace Agreements a requirement when employing
new staff despite that fact that the Labor government intends to change the law.
Meanwhile, Australian Workers' Union national secretary Paul Howes said that employers who made an AWA a condition of employment before the law changed were duplicitous.
