We have a casual employee working irregular and unsystematic hours. Originally engaged for 1 year as a casual and has continued on a casual basis for another 1.5 years, working a hours on a needs basis. We're now in a situation where we don't require him anymore.
What is best practice? Give him a letter confirming no further work or verbally let him know?
If best practice is in writing, does anyone have a letter template they could share?
