    Default HR Policies

    Hi all,
I am currently looking to purchase a set of HR Policies for our small - medium organisation which I can then tailor to be more specific to us. I have looked online at a number of HR organisations who sell them but I would love some feedback from HR experts who have used a specific organisation and have been happy with them.

Some of the sample policies I have seen online to purchase are not really that great so I would hate to spend the money and not be satisfied with what we get.

Look forward to your responses. Thanks.

    Hi there,
I have recently undertaken a major project to update all of our organisation's HR policies and introduced new ones. I have used the internet to assist and found that University websites can be really helpful and most have a policy list split into categories (HR, WH&S etc.) I used this as a guide and sought info from a couple of other organisation. We are an NGO (non-profit) and other NGO's in our sector are generally willing to share information. If you can let me know what industry you are in I may be able to assist. As an NGO we would be willing to share a list of our HR policies that you can adapt to suit your individual purposes.

Thanks for your reply Kaye. I am in the recruitment industry. We have a set of old HR policies but they are quite lengthy and outdated now. We often have clients who need HR assistance and therefore need to keep our policies up to date so our staff can assist their clients.
    Regards,
    Louise

We are a member of the Chamber of Commence and Industry Queensland. They offer HR employer helpline with the membership for free (which i find invaluable). And discounted HR-policy-review-type service at a discount. Additionally, discounted safety training & management courses and those sorts of thing. Membership is about $1,600pa I think - so a little expensive...
Not sure what state you are in, but i'm sure that your state will have similar organisation - might be an option.

Thanks bullswool. I am in Victoria and yes we are members of AIG but they do not have exactly what I am after. There is also VECCI I am looking at.
