Default Permanent Employees switching to Fixed Term Contracts

    Good Morning All,

I am confident that I have researched and prepared all of the answers to this question but would welcome your opinions and thoughts to strengthen and substantiate my own.

Could an employer ask a permanent employee to move to and re-sign to a fixed term contract?

Your thoughts, opinions and experiences with this will be most welcomed.

    Kind Regards,
    Jodie

SHort answer....yes they can ask but I would warn the employee and employer about doing it. From different perspectives of course. Which perspective are you coming from? The employees side or employer?
