Does anyone have any advice on developing a career in
OHS?
I have completed a degree in
HR, however the content covered did not extend to
OHS, so at this stage I am thinking of completing TAFE studies in
OHS. Theory aside, I think it would be more benefical to gain experience in
OHS. Currently I am participating in a rotational Graduate Program, and have requested experience focusing on
OHS tasks - however without success given the rather 'strict' nature of placements which have been allocated. Faced with this disappointing outcome - I am now seeking other avenues for experience - for example voluntary work or work experience.
Can anyone provide information/guidance in where and how I could gain further exposure and experience in
OHS? Any information would be most welcome.
