Hey Unpredictable,
Volunteering at volunteer-based companies is always a good idea as they often have the infrastructure in place already to support them. Some not-for-profits (NFP's), for example, will typically have a volunteer workforce and dedicated employees that manage their volunteer program.
It might be a little more difficult finding volunteer work in big corporate companies where volunteering is not a regular thing since they might want you to take out some form of personal insurance first.
So my advice is just to brainstorm some of your fave NFP's and contact each of them to see if they have any
HR volunteer work. Contact details for volunteering are often available via their websites. Be clear on how long you are able to volunteer for and how many hours you can commit to on a weekly basis.
