Default Christmas Party Ideas Wanted

Sorry guys, not so much a HR related subject.
However need to start looking into and organising the companies annual Xmas function. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me.

Wanting something casual during the day (weekeday). We have employees from Shepparton & Melbourne, however thinking of something in Melbourne this year. Any ideas woudl be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Belinda

One of the most memorable work Xmas functions I have been involved in was going down the Yarra and into the bay on a yacht, with good food and drinks laid on. You get quite a unique perspective of the city and the bayside suburbs from the water. It is of course very dependent on the weather but we were very lucky in that regard as it was a very warm, still evening. That was about 50 people, which is probably max for a yacht. There are other larger boats but they might be restricted to the river.

Whatever you do you would want to get cracking with it because it's a bit late to be booking a Christmas function, although mid week during the day should be easier to get than an evening event.

Hi Belinda,

A couple of options and yes this is 'plug'

We deliver a range of fun team activities - race around the world is a great one to get groups interacting and moving around - Race Around the World, Amazing Race, Fun Team Building

We also have some DIY kits - the first is an ePack full of games and ideas - Christmas Party Ideas | Christmas Games

The second is a DIY Novelty Trivia Game Show that works a treat - Trivia Game Show

Hope this ideas help

Cheers

Hi there,
I know this is a resurrection of an old post but juts seen this:

Christmas on the Lake 2011 @ Albert Park - Christmas Party Melbourne, Melbourne Christmas Party, Office Christmas Party, Work Christmas Party

which looks a good option for Christmas Party in Melbourne 2011.
