I think the time has come when you can really consider different software vendors. There are some very smart
HR software developers out there now that leave the payroll based HRIS systems for dead. As an example we use Chris21 for payroll, which is strong in that area, and does provide basic historic employee data. However, we then use Cambron for all our employee workplans, appraisals and training. Cambron also links our employee workplans to our corporate plan.
If it was me, I think that I would invest in a provider that does payroll really well but also gives me the option to link to specialist
HR/
OD software.
