Networking within HR in Perth

I have just recently moved to Perth and was hoping to build up a bit of a network around me. Could anyone let me know what some of the good networking functions are?

Ive just moved from Perth to Melbourne and I'm in the same boat as you. I can't say i know a lot of HR networking opportunities, but I know that the Main Roads Dept over there have won heaps of HR awards and I spoke with them at a career day, where they offered the opportunity of paid internships.

I think speaking to them, knowing that they are a leader of HR over their and nationally could be a good idea. Also I could recommend one of my favourite lecturers from Curtin Uni if he is OK with it and perhaps you could talk with him, he also works at A.I.M. Let me know and good luck.
