Hi HR Community!

I am looking at hiring an intern. I understand there are some strict legal guidelines I need to follow regarding an internship.

Would someone be able to point me in the direction where I could find them? Or a general guideline of 'the do's and don't's'?

From my understanding, the main problem resolves around the duties of the intern and whether they fall under the 'employee' category.

Thanks in Advance guys!

This should help Internships, Vocational Placements & Unpaid Work fact sheet - Employer obligations - Fact sheets - Resources - Fair Work Ombudsman (http://www.fairwork.gov.au/resources/fact-sheets/employer-obligations/pages/internships-vocational-placements-and-unpaid-work.aspx)
