My partner was recently forced to leave a job he had held for 10 years. This was on the grounds of dishonesty and bringing the organisation into disrepute - both of which claims are somewhat dubious and the resulting action perhaps somewhat harsh.
My partner resigned due to being made to think any other solution was unworkable (he was told he could either resign or be dismissed or have police brought into the matter) but the decision was reviewed in a recent management meeting (and upheld). Would he have a case to apply for unfair dismissal even though the 14 days was up because of this review of the decision by the organisation's management committee?
