My client is a USA based company with offices in an number of cities around the world, Sydney being one. This latter office has 20 employees who are all covered by individual plans which the company pays for.
Head office in the US wants to standardize the benefits they offer employees bearing in mind the different benefit cultures and expectations in those home countries.
Benefits in the US are heavily weighted in favour of Healthcare including dental and disability income protection. Same thing in Canada but less so on Healthcare as the government pays all hospital and physician care. In both countries and where small employee groups are concerned company paid private pension plans (read Registered Retirement Savings Plan RRSP) are the exception rather than the rule.

It would be helpful to understand what an employee in a software development company in Sydney would expect and receive in the way of benefits (taxable and non-taxable) that would be competitive with similar employers.
Comments would be appreciated. Recommendations to consultants/advisors
who have being doing a good jod for your company would be helpful.
