We are looking at how long we need to keep recruitment information for unsuccessful applicants including interview guides, reference. Getting varied information based on federal and state legislation(or lack of) Does anyone know if there is a set minimum?

I dont believe so!

It's up to the company - generally most are 3 months.

If you conduct pre-employment psychometric testing, consider storing the results for 12-18 months (this may be useful to you for applicants who re-apply or are being considered for similar positions). Beyond that, you would be best served to re-test. Again, like the previous respondent, I'm unaware of any particular legislative time frame for holding such information however this seems a reasonable storing period.
